“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” – 1 Peter 5:8
🔎 Recap: The Church’s Battle with Witchcraft
In Part 5, we exposed how witchcraft has infiltrated the church, twisting the gospel into something self-centered, mystical, and emotionally driven.
The enemy’s goal is to:
✔️ Lead Christians into counterfeit spirituality.
✔️ Make faith about emotions, signs, and personal power instead of God.
✔️ Replace sound doctrine with deception.
The truth is, spiritual warfare is real.
Satan is not just attacking the world—he is targeting the church, families, and future generations.
So, how do we protect ourselves and our loved ones from deception?
Today, we’re diving into practical, biblical steps to guard our hearts, minds, and homes.
🔎 1. Stay Rooted in God’s Word
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105)
The number one way to avoid deception is to know the truth.
Many Christians fall into witchcraft because they don’t know what the Bible actually says.
✔️ They think manifestation is biblical because they’ve never studied true faith.
✔️ They chase prophets for guidance because they don’t know God already speaks through Scripture.
✔️ They accept anything spiritual because they don’t test it against God’s Word.
What you can do:
✅ Commit to daily Bible study.
✅ Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment.
✅ Test everything against Scripture. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
👉 Truth bomb: If you don’t know the Bible, you will be deceived.
🔎 2. Test Every Spirit – Don’t Believe Everything You Hear
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)
Not everything that sounds spiritual is from God.
✔️ Just because someone says “God told me” doesn’t mean it’s true.
✔️ Just because something makes you feel good doesn’t mean it’s from the Holy Spirit.
✔️ Just because someone is a pastor, prophet, or spiritual leader doesn’t mean they are teaching truth.
How to Test the Spirit:
1️⃣ Does it align with Scripture? (God never contradicts His Word.)
2️⃣ Does it glorify God or self? (True faith always points to Jesus, not man.)
3️⃣ Does it produce real spiritual fruit? (Not just emotional highs, but real transformation.)
👉 Truth bomb: If something contradicts the Bible, it is NOT from God.
🔎 3. Get Rid of Anything That Opens Doors to the Enemy
"Do not bring any detestable thing into your house, or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction." (Deuteronomy 7:26)
If you’ve engaged in New Age practices, false Christianity, or any form of witchcraft, it’s time to cleanse your life and home.
What to Remove from Your Home:
🚫 Tarot cards, astrology books, or divination tools
🚫 Crystals, charms, or objects linked to spiritual energy
🚫 Music, movies, or games glorifying the occult
🚫 Any spiritual items not rooted in Jesus
This is not about being legalistic—it’s about closing doors to the enemy.
"Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)
What to Do Next:
✅ Pray over your home and family.
✅ Break any spiritual ties to witchcraft or deception.
✅ Fill your home with God’s presence—Scripture, worship, and prayer.
👉 Truth bomb: You can’t follow Jesus while keeping witchcraft in your home.
🔎 4. Train Your Children to Recognize Deception
"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6)
The enemy is after the next generation.
✔️ Kids are being exposed to witchcraft through cartoons, books, and social media.
✔️ Schools are normalizing astrology, energy healing, and New Age ideas.
✔️ Even Christian parents don’t always realize what’s being taught.
If we don’t teach our children truth, the world will teach them lies.
How to Protect Your Kids:
✅ Teach them what the Bible says about spiritual deception.
✅ Monitor their media—know what they’re watching and listening to.
✅ Pray over them daily—spiritual warfare is real.
👉 Truth bomb: If you don’t disciple your kids, the world will.
🔎 5. Put on the Full Armor of God – Every Day
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." (Ephesians 6:11)
We are in a spiritual battle. The enemy is not playing games, and neither should we.
How to Put on the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18):
🛡️ Belt of Truth – Know God’s Word so you aren’t deceived.
🛡️ Breastplate of Righteousness – Live a life set apart for Jesus.
🛡️ Shoes of the Gospel of Peace – Stand firm in your faith, sharing truth.
🛡️ Shield of Faith – Reject doubt and lies; trust in God.
🛡️ Helmet of Salvation – Protect your mind from deception.
🛡️ Sword of the Spirit – Use Scripture as your weapon against the enemy.
👉 Truth bomb: Spiritual warfare is real—put on your armor and fight back.
🔎 Call to Action: Stand Firm and Be Bold
If you’ve realized that you’ve been deceived in any way, don’t ignore it.
This is your chance to:
✔️ Repent and fully surrender to Jesus.
✔️ Break free from anything that doesn’t align with God’s truth.
✔️ Commit to guarding your home, family, and heart from deception.
✔️ Boldly share the truth with others.
💬 Pray this prayer today:
"Lord, I repent for any way I have been deceived. I reject all false spirituality and fully surrender to You. Protect my home, my family, and my mind. Fill me with Your Spirit and lead me in truth. In Jesus' name, Amen."
👉 Final Thought: Jesus is the Only Answer
Witchcraft, New Age, and false Christianity all offer counterfeits of what only Jesus can provide.
✔️ Looking for power? Jesus has ALL authority. (Matthew 28:18)
✔️ Looking for healing? Jesus is the Great Physician. (Psalm 147:3)
✔️ Looking for wisdom? Jesus is the source of truth. (Colossians 2:3)
You don’t need spiritual shortcuts—you need Jesus.

Thank you!!!! A timely word. I think a lot of the issues we see in the western church are symptoms of biblical illiteracy. From witchcraft, occult, prosperity gospel, culture wars, etc. people genuinely don’t know the Word nor care to study it or learn. So they’re deceived. The flesh is weak and easily satisfied so a counterfeit gospel that’s even 50% “accurate” is more than filling.
