Thank you!!!! A timely word. I think a lot of the issues we see in the western church are symptoms of biblical illiteracy. From witchcraft, occult, prosperity gospel, culture wars, etc. people genuinely don’t know the Word nor care to study it or learn. So they’re deceived. The flesh is weak and easily satisfied so a counterfeit gospel that’s even 50% “accurate” is more than filling.
Yes! That’s exactly it. Biblical illiteracy is fueling so much of the confusion we’re seeing. People don’t recognize a counterfeit because they’ve never really known the real thing. And like you said, the flesh is quick to settle for what sounds good. You put this so well.
